UPDATE
After alot of consideration, I have decided its time to start working with the cuckoo silkies
again. I had a baby in December 2006 & my son has kept me busy for the last couple of years.
We have some new additions to the farm, and boy are the beautiful..check out my Swan page.
We have Moved from SC back to MA
Feel free to contact me if you need any information on cuckoo silkies.
You may contact Bob Selman at pollen@earthlink.net if you're interested in the highest generation of cuckoo silkies available. Bob has some beautiful birds coming along &
he should have just what you're looking for in a cuckoo.
This little cuckoo male is a first , he has dark slate
skin & beak.
He is the result from breeding cuckoo roo x white hen. His background coloring is fairly
dark & he has awesome toes. His body shape is so compact , he's a pretty small male. I dont think his comb will super
smoothe ,although it is smaller than most....and it is red..but the skin, beak color & toe placement is such
a huge milestone for these guys UPDATE- This little roo was killed by predators..such
a shame
This pullet is the result of cuckoo x cuckoo breeding. her barring is more distinct
than females born from cuckoo x solid breeding. She's still young & her crest is just starting to grow along with the
rest of her. Her skin is a great shade of slate blue . The biggest improvements to my cuckoos this season have been skin &
toes.
